etting your warm clothes out for the winter months is about the same as a bird gathering sticks to make a nest. It’s just something that ritually has to be done. Out come the gloves, the heavy coat, and the scarf. You’re ready to face the elements - but what about that 2 ton piece of metal sitting in front of your house. No, not your mailbox - your car.

"You’d be surprised by the amount of people that completely neglect their vehicle’s exterior for the entire winter. Your entire car needs protection with the greatest need required by its exterior."

A good highly durable auto wax is also essential for the winter. Just like a raincoat, car wax sheds rain, and more importantly, repels pollutants and grime from getting a grip on your car’s finish. These same evil contaminates will try to damage your tires and rubber trim causing cracking and fading to occur.
"Try to keep your windshield washer reservoir topped-off at all times. Also make sure that your windshield’s glass is clean and free of smudges." Why? Imperfections on glass like streaks and smudges refract light and cause distortions. This makes driving extremely difficult and dangerous in less than ideal situations. Oncoming lights from traffic are refracted and can become disorientating and cause double images and more.
Winter can be downright brutal on your car’s exterior, but your interior will be exposed as well. Don’t wait around until the sun starts to shine to clean your carpet and upholstery. If you procrastinate, it allows dirt, grime, and grease to become embedded into your interior.
Clean the inside of your car at least once or twice during the winter months. Get a fabric cleaner to ease the effort of cleaning difficult areas. Keep an eye on your rubber and vinyl areas too. Use a protective treatment to keep these areas from drying out over the winter.
